I did it, I did it!  It took my a VERY long time to figure this out.  If you notice the video below starts well into the video.  The first part of the video interview was about the pro-life movement and what it has done well and where it has failed.  I wanted to jump to the point where they started talking about how the governmental media is trying to twist the abortion debate and gun rights.  I had to figure a way to jump to that point in the interview so you didn’t have to shift through 20 minutes of unrelated material.  In addition, I finally found this photo by Gerard Vander, I was looking for this photo again.  Ok, enough on my limited memory and capabilities in manipulating HTML code.

Father John Zuhlsdorf (Father Z) who has a CCW and packs, has gone through extensive training and as a Priest who understands his role as a Servant of Christ says advises his folk “…Catholics should train with their firearms so they are safer with them.”  In addition he reminds us that firearms are about defense, not revenge or vengeance.   In addition says;  For example, what does a concealed carry weapon (CCW) mean for a priest versus for a layperson?  Some people will bring up a document of the USCCB which mentions handguns in a footnote and then claim that “the Church” forbids them.  The implication is that pretty much no one should have a hand gun.  I don’t find that convincing.  The USCCB doesn’t have the authority to tell me what I can have for breakfast, much less how I might defend my person or an innocent bystander.  Some people will bring up the 1917 Code which said that priests should not bear arms.  Fine.  The 1983 Code does not say that…No, wait.  Let me correct that.  Stricter gun-control advocates generally don’t actually think about the 2nd Amendment, they generally don’t really know anything about concealed carry weapon licenses, and it is not the guns, the licenses and the amendment they don’t like… they don’t like the people who like their 2nd Amendment rights.  They don’t like the people.”

This video and where it starts is between Father John Zuhlsdorf (Father Z) and Michael Voris of Church Militant TV.  Father Z is a Catholic Priest who converted from protestant Lutheran and he now runs one of the top 10 Catholic blogs called What does the Prayer Really Say. In the interview I like what he says about the future of America.  He is hopeful but not optimistic.   I also like how he believes the entire issue of the gun debate is not about the guns, it is about the people who own guns and snuffing out their culture.  Powerful stuff.
