“When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.”
To the best of my knowledge, this has not been covered by the main stream media. I do not often make this appeal, but I would ask you to do your best to email, tweet, share and promote this article as much as possible. The mainstream media refuses to share when Patriots advance liberty. Even a little bit. They bury stories of average Americans standing up for liberty and making a difference. It is up to you to get this information in front of as many eyes as possible. Please do you part to get this information out.

I recently visited the beautiful resort city of Coeur d’Alene in Kootenai County Idaho. During my visit I met a wonderful woman by the name of Tina Kunishige. We started talking about Liberty, freedom and defending our Constitutional rights. Tina mentioned that she and many others had protested a new restaurant opening in Coeur d’Alene called Buffalo Wild Wings whose corporate headquarters is in Minnesota. Buffalo Wild Wings opened its latest franchise in Coeur d’Alene on Labor Day. Buffalo Wild Wings in Coeur d’Alene became notorious for being one of, if not the only business in all Kootenai County to post a “Buffalo Wild Wings, Inc. Bans Guns on these premise” sign. It also operates a location in Meridian Idaho which also has a sign banning firearms. The store in Coeur d’Alene was covered by the local NBC KHQ Q6 in their story No Guns allowed sign stirs controversy you see Idaho is a very liberty friendly state. The nanny Bloomberg funded Moms Demand Action to restrict your Constitutional rights promoted Buffalo Wild Wings as an exemplary company’s that shows “gun sense.”
You see, Buffalo Wild Wings management has long had this as a corporate policy to restrict its customers constitutional rights and make them defenseless against criminals. In he past Buffalo Wild Wings corporate headquarters issued an official statement to KDKA-TV saying: “Buffalo Wild Wings respects the right of individuals to carry firearms. One of our top priorities is the comfort, safety and enjoyment of our Guests and we have elected to exercise our right to prohibit the carrying of firearms in our company-owned restaurants. We regret any inconvenience this may cause but believe that this long-standing position is in the best interest of our Guests and our Team Members. This position may vary in independently owned franchised locations.” Buffalo Wild Wings and other businesses claims they have the “right” to deny you, your constitutional rights when you are on its premises. Really? Where have we heard that before? Let’s pull that thread a little bit.
Mrs. Kunishige asked, what are liberty minded people doing about this constant infringement of their Constitutional rights? I responded that many people are protesting, writing newspapers, many people are choosing to eat somewhere else. Tina indicated all of this was good, but it was not enough. She suggested that for liberty to win supporters of the Constitution had to demand their Constitutional rights. And that is what Tina did. She took personal responsibility for Liberty. She let the local and regional manager of Buffalo Wild Wings whose name is Jay Dowed and who appears to be located in Lacey, Washington know, she was going to sue their store. You see, in Idaho Tina questions the legality of business owners, which serve the general public, the right to deny anyone their Idaho State constitutional rights. Some people believe that it is a business owner right to pick and choose which state Constitutional rights it will honor. An example Tina and I discussed is; would it be legal for a restaurant owned by an Atheist to say you could not pray before your meal? Why is it legal for a business, which serves the public to deny people their state or federal Constitutional rights because they don’t like this or that right? In this example, the right to keep (own) and bear (carry) arms. Idaho State constitution guarantees that all citizens can open carry firearms. An interesting point that Tina found is that Idaho may have more protections against businesses restricting Idaho State Constitutional rights.
Idaho State Constitutions Section 11. “Right to keep and bear arms. The people have the right to keep and bear arms, which right shall not be abridged; but this provision shall not prevent the passage of laws to govern the carrying of weapons concealed on the person nor prevent passage of legislation providing minimum sentences for crimes committed while in possession of a firearm, nor prevent the passage of legislation providing penalties for the possession of firearms by a convicted felon, nor prevent the passage of any legislation punishing the use of a firearm. No law shall impose licensure, registration or special taxation on the ownership or possession of firearms or ammunition. Nor shall any law permit the confiscation of firearms, except those actually used in the commission of a felony.”
You see Idaho has very strong laws defending the Constitutional rights of all of its citizens specifically against businesses abridging them. For example Idaho Code Title 30, Chapter 5 (30-501) “Every corporation organized for any lawful purpose or purposes, whether a general business corporation or a designated class of corporation, shall, by the act of filing incorporation documents with the state of Idaho, acknowledge and accept the provisions of the constitution of the state of Idaho as binding upon that corporation.” The people of Idaho have spoken. If you want to do business in Idaho, you will respect Idahoans.
Tina let me know the regional manager Jay Dowed has called her back. He has agreed to remove the sign from Buffalo Wild Wings Coeur d’Alene, Idaho as of this past Sunday September 28, 2014. We have now confirm the sign is down. That is great work. This is patriots taking personal responsibility for liberty. I believe the way Tina Kunishige accomplished this is a novel approach, and something that other patriots can use in other places. I suggested to Tina that she form Moms Take Action to support our Constitutional Rights and take this success on the road. Moms Demand Action to restrict your Constitutional Rights has been kind of enough to list the businesses which want to make money in your state, but not respect your State Constitutional rights. This is a good starting point. Perhaps a Constitutional lawyer would like to offer his reasoning to the Patriots out there that want to take action on this. Perhaps we need to find funding to take other companies to court.

No one can morally deny you your God-given constitutional rights, especially a business that claims to serve all of the public. You have a constitutional right to protect yourself, no matter what the owner of a movie theater or fast food joint says, but only if you personally demand your rights. Perhaps next up is the Buffalo Wild Wings in Meridian, Idaho which has a No Guns Allowed sign. Please share this far and wide. If others take action, please let me know so I can share. Tina Kunishige is our Patriot of the Week and wins our 2A Award. Great work Tina.
