Previously we covered Constitutional Carry in Idaho in the post Constitutional Carry in Idaho for politicians not for the people on 12JAN2016.  Remember in Idaho politicians, retired prison guards and police (betters) have Constitutional Carry, and the people (peons) do not.  Constitutional Carry has passed the Idaho Assembly and Senate on 21MAR2016 and is waiting for the signature of liberal Idaho Republican Governor Otter. Constitutional Carry is now the law of the land in eight States Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Maine, Vermont, West Virginia (takes effect May 26) and Wyoming (resident only). Our friends in the Free State movement in New Hampshire have gotten Constitutional Carry passed, but their Democrat Governor Maggie Hassan vetoed it.  The patriots in Montana also passed Constitutional Carry and Democrat Governor Bullock vetoed it.  Governor Bullock won by a very slight margin.  I am sure the patriots will not forget.  In West Virginia they passed Constitutional Carry, their Democrat Governor Earl Ray Tomblin vetoed it, and their elected representatives successfully overrode the Democrat Governor veto.  Do you see a Democrat pattern here? None of these States that have passed Constitutional Carry have descended into mayhem as anti-individual liberty authoritarian progressives have predicted. These States have pretty much continued on as they were.

Liberty on the march! Idaho Second Amendment Alliance rally 2016

Past New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s anti-liberty group wrote a large newspaper ad asking Idaho elected Republicans to oppose their people’s right to have the same rights as their servants and exercise their constitutionally protected rights without government permission or knowledge. The Bill to give the people the same rights as politicians was opposed by nearly 100% of Idaho Democrats, Michael Bloomberg and a couple of large city Police Chiefs such as Boise’s Bill Bones and Coeur d’Alene’s Lee White and at least one Sheriff Kootenai County Ben Wolfinger.

The Bill to give the people the same rights as retired prison guards and politicians was supported by the vast majority of Idaho Republicans, Gun Owners of America (GOA), Idaho Freedom Foundation (IFF), Idaho Second Amendment Alliance, National Rifle Association (NRA), Fraternal Order of Police which are urban police departments and the Idaho Sheriffs Association which are the rural police departments.  Also this was strongly supported by District 1 State Representative Heather Scott and Idaho Lieutenant Governor, Brad Little wrote a column supporting it.  Even though patriots have pause about Lt Governor Little, I must applaud him on his stand on this important issue.  Interesting for us, this bill was supported by Idaho Tea Parties, Patriot groups including the American Redoubt movement.

Sheriff Ben Wolfinger oppose Constitutional Carry

The law basically says if you would be eligible under the law you may carry conceal without getting a permission slip from your local sheriff or police chief. This is a very logical bill. It still requires young people 18 – 21 to get training and a permit. I am not overly opposed to that. It also requires people to get the Expand Conceal Carry permit to carry on college campuses. Again I do not have a serious concern with that.

Of particular note is the fact that current Kootenai County Sheriff Ben Wolfinger, opposed Constitutional Carry. In an interview with the liberal Coeur d’Alene (CDA) Press newspaper little Eichmann Sheriff Ben Wolfinger said he has not personally reviewed HB89, but from what he has heard, he does have some concerns. “One thing that I would be concerned about is those people who are currently screened out for mental illness,” Wolfinger said. For that reason, Wolfinger said, he opposes the bill. “I am concerned about the lack of checks and balances,” he said.  Note to Sheriff Wolfinger, crazy people nor criminals apply for conceal carry permits.

Very liberal Coeur d’Alene Police Chief Lee White and federalist supremacist Kootenai County Sheriff Wolfinger (says he will enforce all federal laws no matter if he believes they are constitutional or moral and that his organization is a “paramilitary organization” I guess this is one reason the little Eichmann has purchased such a big tank) came out again in another CDA press story opposed to expanding individual liberty in Idaho. CDA Police Chief White said he enjoys the ability to stop people he wants. He explains that if he sees you walking down the street and he thinks a lump in your jacket could be a gun he has the right to stop you and search you. He bemoans the loss of this Idaho Stop and Frisk because you have a bulge.

little Eichmann Kootenai County Sheriff Wolfinger

Kootenai County Sheriff Wolfinger once again said he is opposed to people exercising their Constitutionally protected rights without getting permission from the gobberment specifically his office. He said “I have always stated that I am opposed to not being able to screen people at the onset…” Let us all remember that gun registration and permitting gain popularity as a tool of Southern bigots to deny racial minorities the ability to protect themselves from the domestic terrorist organization the KKK by “screening” who could exercise their God-given constitutional rights. Sheriff Wolfinger’s federal supremacist views to enforce all laws no matter if they are moral or not also echoes those “lawmen” that enforce the anti-Christian, anti-freedom Slave Fugitive Act. Sheriff Wolfinger once again aligns himself with these racist sheriffs of old.  The other elected authoritarian progressive Republicans who opposed individual liberty and wanted to keep Constitutional Carry for themselves but not for the people are Reps. Maxine Bell, R-Jerome, Rep. Rich Wills, R-Glenns Ferry, and Fred Wood, R-Burley.  Please note Rep. Maxine Bell was first elected in 1988!  What where you doing in 1988?  Well Maxine Bell is doing the same thing. Can anyone say “thank you for your service, now go do something else?”  Her challenger a 23-year Navy veteran named Reggy Sternes.  Reggy Sternes supports Constitutional Carry while Maxine Bell opposed it.

Talking about challengers, the person running to replace Idaho Kootenai County Sheriff Ben Wolfinger is John Green a former Texas lawman. He has lived in Kootenai County since 1999. John Green supports Constitutional Carry. He wrote an article explaining his support for the expansion of liberty in one of the larger Idaho Tea Party newspapers called the Gem State Patriot. The only caveat Sheriff Candidate John Green had been that the bill restricted Constitutional Carry to only Residents of Idaho, not all people visiting Idaho. It is time for you to change your residency to where you want to be or “summer home” is located. To support John Green, someone I feel is a Constitutional Sheriff visit his campaign page here and his Facebook account.

You may contact the Governor by emailing him at Governor@gov.idaho.gov or calling him at 208-334-2100.  If Governor Otter doesn’t sign or veto this bill within five days (excluding Sunday), it will become law without his signature. It will take effect on July 1st, 2016.  If our liberal Republican Governor Otter vetoes this reasonable bill expanding individual liberty in Idaho, there may be enough support in this election year to override his veto. The bill is “rated” by both the influential IFF and NRA.  The bill passed the Idaho State Assembly on 54 to 14 and the Idaho State Senate on a 27-8 vote. To override the governor, you need two-thirds and the Bill appears to have that level of support. If the people’s elected representatives refuse to stand up for expanding individual liberty, I am prepared to support the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance and other allied groups in their drive to bring Constitutional Carry bill directly to the people through a petition drive. If the Lord is willing the the Creek don’t raise, we will expand God-given individual liberty in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.

If you live in Idaho please vote in the Republican Primary on Tuesday 17MAY2016.
