This Christmas I spent it outside of the American Redoubt. We ended up looking for a traditional Catholic chapel in Phoenix, Arizona. I found online that there was a Society (SSPX) chapel, so we thought to visit.
Wow were we in for a treat. Our Lady of Sorrows is a brand new huge Catholic Church. I was shocked. The Society is not wealthy, although it has very active parishioners who try to tithe as they are supposed to. Thus this Society Church is massive. It is like a basilica.
The Christmas midnight Mass was very nice, the people were friendly, and the church was about half filled. Nearly everyone was well dressed and focused. It was a great Mass with one of the side altars also being used. It is always funny to see the Christmas midnight mass as the children just all fade out, and are all laying out in the pews when it is over.
